There is little doubt that the liberation of Bangladesh in 1971, is an incomparable achievement. The Indian Armed Forces and the Mukti Bahini battled a barbaric and inhuman Pakistan Army, who had unleashed unimaginable carnage throughout present day Bangladesh.
In Quest of Freedom, we have stories of bravery and benevolence, courage and compassion of soldiers and civilians who resisted a savage regime that ripped families apart and murdered thousands in cold blood and left millions displaced and homeless and beastly.
Part first-hand accounts and part reportage, these stories are a requiem for all those who lost their lives and a tribute to those who put courage above fear and duty above death. An inspiring collaboration between Indian and Bangladeshi war veterans and reflect tremendous courage and compassion in the face of abysmal danger.
