This book first examines the historical context of biological weapons; secondly it addresses the need of realistic threat and risk assessment of bio-terrorism and tries to test an India-centric model of threat; thirdly it emphasises the need for proactive biodefence techniques and looks at various international instruments of disarmament that have been developed to tackle this threat in current geo-political context.
