More than a history of aerial warfare, this is the story of the evolution over 100 years of the Indian Air Force
The story is compelling because with the telling of it the reader comes to realise the supply, training and logistical problems the airmen, and later airwomen, overcame.
It was interesting to read of the Americans’ surprise during the large scale exercises with the USAF, undertaken against what was up to then considered a “third \"world” air arm. The IAF used tactics completely unexpected by their opponents
This story is a rich source of detailed information concerning all aspects of the building of the IAF tailored in chronological format covering over 100 years with the names, rank and squadron details of so many of the combatants who took part in the building and training of this now world class air force, for the defence of India and democracy.
Everyone with any connection with it, and others interested in this history should obtain a copy and treasure it as a family heirloom
