Admiral Prakash was perhaps one of the genius military leaders of our armed forces who's reputation has sufferred greatly because of the actions of his family members. The breadth and depth of his understanding of world affairs and the issues facing our armed forces is just fascinating. Here is a man who has come through the baptism of fire and by training his mind has indeed become someone to reckon with. This book is wonderful from that perspective. I wonder what would have happened if he, General Sunderji and PC Lal were to have been in charge of the three wings of the armed forces at the same time. Indeed combined arms operations would have been a realitylong before today and perhaps the neighbors would have been far more respectful of our broders than they are today. Very interesting book. Now this book I hope is a required reading for our higher command. Not very interesting if you are looking for a book on military action etc.
