This book provides a fascinating look at the true weakness of the American military system. It is with this book that China identifies America as its sole predominate enemy. The United States is indeed a major focus of the book simply because it is militarily the most powerful and advanced nation that has fought in several major wars, particularly the Gulf War, with significant innovations in weaponry, military strategies and tactics. Yet, the authors feel that superior weaponry need not come from technology. They state that in unconventional warfare, technology does not always benefit and can become a liability.
9/11, 7/7 and the Mumbai bomb blasts of 2006 clearly show that the authors are justified in explaining how the mind of the new enemy works.
