More than eight years have passed since the last shots were fired in the war which Germany started by invading Poland on September 1, 1939. This span of time should have been long enough to bring about a general understanding of the causes of the Third Reich’s defeat.

It seems high time to make full use of documented facts in order to show the true role of these factors in saving Russia, and to disperse the persistent myth of Russia’s invincibility.
